Year of the Dragon Celebration at International Village |

The Year of the Dragon Celebration at International Village, in its 12 year, brings traditional Chinese festivities and rituals to the Lower Mainland population. As one of the few Chinese New Year festivals in the Lower Mainland with such a long history, the event is one of the largest Chinese New Year festivals on the West Coast, with stage performances, an hourly lucky draw, over 40 exhibition booths and a Kids’ Corner, this three-day event begins with a ceremonial eye-dotting ritual and lion dance, with appearances by three levels of government and local celebrities. All proceeds from the Kid’s Corner will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of BC and Yukon. |

Children from 3 – 12 years old can enjoy a variety of Easter activities, such as egg decorating and a timed Easter egg hunt. Face painting and balloon twisting are also available, as are photos with the Easter Bunny. Parents with proof of receipt(s) from any International Village retail store will receive one free Easter Eggstravaganza activity passport for their children for each accumulative total over $30.00 between March 16 – April 7, 2012. |

Halloween Costume Contest & Trick-or-Treat |

| Details: |
Children from 2 – 16 years old are invited to dress up in their scariest and sign up for the costume contest at 2:30pm in the centre court. A Henderson Place Mall staff member will lead all contestants around the mall, and winners will be selected by participating tenant judges. In addition, trick-or-treaters can get their candy fill by trick-or-treating between 12:00 – 4:00pm on October 28, 2012.

Santa’s Enchanted Workshop |

| Details: |
Santa Claus will be visiting the International Village Shopping Centre each Saturday and Sunday beginning December 1 until December 23, and will be available for photos with all his young friends between noon to 4:00pm. Bring your own camera, as Santa’s elves will be engaged elsewhere. All children, naughty and nice, will be given a small treat after their visit with Santa Claus. Donations to Henderson Canada’s event charity beneficiary will be collected in lieu of photography fees. Children can also create a holiday card for their loved ones at the craft table.
